Before cycling, my life consisted solely of football. I was deeply immersed in the sport, and nothing at that time could sway my passion for it. Cycling entered my life through a friend who lived in my neighborhood. He introduced me to the local trails behind my house, and from that moment, I was hooked. He also mentioned the high school cross-country mountain bike league, which allowed middle schoolers to participate in races. In my freshman year, I made the decision to leave football behind and wholeheartedly pursue my newfound love for cycling. I excelled in high school cycling, and it became the foundation for my growth, leading me to college. Starting as a mountain biker with only one Cat 5 crit race under my belt, I underwent significant development. Now, I hold a national title and have secured multiple podium finishes at the national level across various events—something I never thought possible. As I look ahead to the 2024 season with iSpeed, all I see are more opportunities to create lasting memories and win races alongside the people I love. The journey has been transformative, and I am eager to continue pushing my limits and achieving new milestones in the sport I’ve come to embrace.
